Puppy love

Puppies and Humans,

There is something to be said about our relationship with dogs, especially puppies........if for some inexplicable reason, we, humans that is, are totally taken aback by the sight of a small, helpless puppy.......

Bringing in a canine into our casa has always been a dream, but due our hectic workschedule, we couldn't bring it to ourselves to do it..........it wouldn't be fair to man's best friend to leave it alone at home all day long, would it?

But then the perfect opportunity presented itself.......Jess's employer birthday was coming along and that particular lady's 'not-so-secret' wish was to have another dog to add to her existing kennel of 3 dogs..........

'Hidden message' received loud and clear !!!

Mind you, last-minute scourching the town for a cute dog wasn't that easy, but one particular petshop owner kindly emailed us some pics of one of her dogs for sale......Oooooow, upon receiving the email, we were totally smitten by the sight of the little fella.....correction.....little lady..........

No doubt in our mind that this dog was the perfect birthday gift for Maggie.........go, fetch, bring back home...........our whole family was (and actually still is) completely enthralled by the adoring puppy.........We, and especially our girl, nurtured it for the few days that it stayed at our casa, craddling it like it was a baby..........and needless to say that we all kinda were heartbroken when the day came to pass her to Maggie.........

Should we have kept it to ourselves? We contemplated it, but heck, we are practically Maggie's household family friends nowadays, so ample opportunities to visit the loveable puppy when we miss her.........and in a sense, we are happy that it has companions and 24hour care and attention...........

Ofcourse, the 'dog virus' has broken into our midst.............so the condition is.....if our little dragon scores well on her year-end exams, then her reward is a puppy of her own........sounds fair enough, doesn't it?

Dog or no dog in our house.........that fate lies in the hands of our little girl now.......to be continued!!
