Pusat Sains Negara,
Or for the non-Malaysians, National Science Center,..........
It has been a must-visit on our calendar for a long time already, ....waiting for our girl to become big enough to understand a bit of what science offers to us, mankind.
As it was, the science center itself, located in a lush, beautiful environment, provided tons of interactive exhibits for the young and elders (who are still young at heart) to try out and see what impact 'science' has on our everyday life.
Kids remain kids though, we had a kinda feeling that they were a bit oblivious to all the written explanations and just toyed around with the exhibits, trying things out, repeatedly banging on it.........I guess the life expectancy of these exhibits is quite short-lived the way the kiddo's abuse them....bang, bang, bang..........
As it is, it is about displaying proud Malaysian achievements in the related fields of science, and passing this knowledge on to the next generation.......
And if somehow, one of these youngsters gets bitten by the 'science' virus through these interactive exhibits and opts for a science stream for their further studies, so much the better for the country.....
Truly a long term investment for the future....but is our daughter a "scientist in the making"??!?? You bet.........NOT........:p
Needless to say that Jess and me also tried our hands on the 'exhibits'....:p....of which the proof is to be seen in this below video fragment..........seeing is believing....true magic :)
